If this is among the highest rated shows of '88,
it's because '88 sucked. Not a bad show, trick ending. Very good recording.

fine party outside
We lived nearby but I hadn't been to shows much since late 70's. Friend and I went all 3 days to enjoy good sound from KZSU under the eucalyptus with many fine characters. Went on to amazing Kaizer shows and Shakedown heaven. Thanks GD, Archive, FRIENDS.

Fabulous Frost
Hands down one of my favorite places to see the Dead. I had an amazing show planted in front of Jerry. Needed a ticket and a student ID since I got a student ticket----well I scored both and then next thing you know I am in heavan. In the bathroom some dude had a huge bag of m d m a free to take as much as I liked. And you know what I grabbed some with both hands. Was sunny and the chick I was next to was soo beautiful and the music and everything. Talk about rolling. At the time I was homeless in SF and man did I need this show to keep me going!!

First Download
This show was the first full dead show i ever downloaded, that was off of Nugs.net. Really an all around good show, bobby's guitar work is devine if you ask me, i love the crazy noises he makes. This show really takes me back to when i first started bumping the dead so its gotta special place in my heart. The feel like a stranger, let it grow, shakedown, china-rider are all rocking, and thats not all. 1988 usually gets little play so its nice to have a good 1988 show. idk about a full on 5 stars but def. is better than 4, so im rounding up and giving it a 5.
